Possessing His Kingdom

Thoughts and Prayers of Irene Madding

Have you every thought about the word perspective? Well I was thinking about it and decided to do a search on it's meaning and this is what I found. Perspective - a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something, a point of view, a stance, an outlook, a slant or a frame of mind, a way of looking at something or interpretation of something. In life we are constantly going through a learning process and this process can either make you rich or deplete you. God's desire is always to make you rich through the learning but satan tries to use it to deplete you, depending on your perspective as you are going through the process. In the series of learning processes we learn who we are and who we are not. Who God is and wants to be for us. Jesus came to teach us how to be more than a conquer, to vanquish beyond and gain a decisive victory over the enemy. How do we do this? Depending on our perspective we can learn to live a life in the Spirit and take advantage of everything the enemy is trying to do in our lives. By recognizing that whatever the enemy is trying to do that God's intent is to use it to set us free and to bring freedom and growth in every area of our lives it can be a good thing. Then satan will no longer have the upper hand and be able to use these things against us. So if you have a problem with low self-esteem, hatred, anger, bitterness, jealousy, sickness, debt, poverty whatever the problem might be. God is using the enemy to bring those things to the surface so you can deal with it and overcome as Jesus over came. This is how we obtain our testimony in Christ. Remember the scripture that says, we overcome by the blood of the lamb (Christ) and the word of our testimony. Who or what exactly is it that we are overcoming? Our old man, the flesh where sin resides and our old negative ways. When God set's you truly free from an area in your life where satan has had you bound and brought such pain, hurt, sorrow and devastation, then to be completely set free, this is true VENGEANCE against the enemy. You can't help but tell everybody what Jesus has done for you, it's like the song by Don Francisco I gotta tell somebody, gotta tell somebody, what Jesus did for me. Remember the 10 lepers in the Bible it says that there was only one when he saw that he was healed, he turned back and with a LOUD voice he glorified God.
And he fell down on his face at Jesus feet, giving Him thanks (Luke 17:12-19) He wasn't meek and quiet about it, it says, he was LOUD. I think we as Christians need to get a little LOUDER about who our God is and what He has done for us and let the world know we're not ashamed of Jesus. He says, if we are ashamed of Him and His words in this adulterous and sinful generation; He will be ashamed of us when He comes in the glory of His Father with the Holy angels (Mark 8:38, Luke 9:26). The world doesn't hesitate to be loud about what they believe. Just sayin!! Did you notice in the story about the 10 lepers that out of the 10 there was 1 just 1 who apparently not only had a physical change but a heart change as well. He was so grateful, he had to return and give thanks for what Jesus did for him, He was of a different spirit than the other 9. That is so beautiful. As God's children we should be more like this. You see when Jesus sets you free, really free in spirit, soul and body. Then you can become an effective instrument in His hands to set others free. And the very things He has set you free from become your testimony which becomes the greatest part of your ministry. Those very things He has set you free from He now gives you permission, authority and power to go and set other captives free. It's like a fire shut up in your bones and you've gotta let it out. That's really what it's all about, you get free and then help someone else get free and then they help someone one to get free and while we're doing it we're building His Kingdom here on earth and tearing down the devils kingdom while we're at it, and kickin the devils butt and Jesus is giving us sweet, sweet VENGEANCE against our true enemy ourselves and the devil. You see we have been given choice and just because the devil comes around and tempts us doesn't mean we have to fall prey to his schemes. If we will take care of our flesh he won't have any power over us because he doesn't have anything to work with. This is true VENGEANCE. Then we can take back the territory we like Adam have given away by our sin of disobedience. Do you hunger for VENGEANCE against the devil? Then cooperate with the Holy Spirit and let Him deliver you from your stinking thinking. I pray you have a week that is blessed and free of stinking thinking!
